   2020-2022    UPDATE

What Happened
The global pandemic impacted not only our daily lives but in our mission of service to the needy. We prioritized more of your generous donations to local unmet needs in the community.

Asha Jasmine Inc and ASJ Crown of Hope Charities engaged in COVID mitigation efforts by partnering with local health care centers in Muncie, IN by distributing hundreds of cloth masks to health care workers and donating to their food and hygiene supply pantries. We donated to more local youth based services like foster care children, and various Christmas Wish list donations for at risk and needy children.

The pandemic continues to affect sourcing retail items abroad so we are moving to other options in bringing Asha Jasmine into your home. We hope to make a change in the direction and scope of what we hold dear--a commitment to serving the needy, as Asha would have.

STAY TUNED!

How Can You Help?

Every dollar goes a long way so we’d appreciate anything you’re able to give as we head into a new future. Thanks to all for your generous donations and we hope we will connect again in the future!

"ASHA"   in    sanskrit   means   hope

Picture
"God brings people into your life in order for you to be a blessing to them. Whether for a day or for a decade. To bring light when it is dark and to bring warmth when it is cold, to bring lessons and laughs, to bring perspective or peace. I'm never a believer of coincidence but I'll always hope I changed something for someone, somewhere."                   ~ ASHA
         Asha S. Joseph
Crown of Hope Charities

created in 2017 in the memory of much loved, Asha Sara Joseph who epitomized the beauty and humility of empathy, compassion and community service for the less fortunate.
She took off her sandals and gave it to a a woman walking without shoes on a hot Caribbean street, walking home barefooted. She fed and cared for a lost and abandoned puppy that showed up on her doorstep and went to all ends to find it a permanent home. Her happiest time was spent in Grenada, West Indies as an active member of the St. George's University School of Medicine's Orphanage Club, volunteering her time to take the children on outings to the beach and mentoring children from dire straits.

DoNATION   DOLLARS   AT   WORK

July 2018
ASJ Crown of Hope Charities was able to provide funding for all new school supplies for the 30 boys at Aardhratha Boys Home in Kerala, South India.
Items included, umbrellas, backpacks, notebooks, Uniforms, shoes etc

December 2017
ASJ Crown of Hope Charities was able to sponsor a special Christmas outing for the boys of Aardhratha Boys Home in Kerala, South India.

All 30 Boys and the staff of the home were taken on an annual Christmas outing to an amusement park on Dec 24th. A bus was hired for the trip and paid entrance tickets were provided. They all received a pant and shirt ( the boys receive a new outfit only once a year), a tour T-shirt, a christmas cake for each child, a vegetarian lunch, ice cream, tea and snacks.
The total cost was Rs 74,000, a large amount this home would have needed to raise for this trip. ASJ COH gladly sent your donation dollars needed to create beautiful memories for these children.

This was a Christmas gift from Asha and all of our gracious donors, to these precious children and the staff that care for them.

MEET  SOME  OF  THE BOYS  AT  AARDHRATHA  BOYS  HOME
Arun and Kiran
Brothers Arun and Kiran were brought to Aardhratha Boys Home in August of 2017. Their mother left the boys and her husband and ran off with another man. The father and these 2 boys were in so much pain and on the brink of committing suicide. They had empty stomachs, meager clothes and was not attending school but most importantly, they had no hope.
By the grace of God, they were met by two Nuns who knew of Mr. Biju George's ministry and his Aarhdratha Boys Home. He took them in with open arms, provided much needed mental and spiritual counseling, prayed with them and gave them the comforting they needed.

Munishankar and Nunushankar Naik
Munishankar Naik and his younger brother, Nunushankar, lovingly called Eby and Bibi are originally from Andhra Pradesh in South India and have been at Aadhratha Boys Home for the past 4 years. Their mother is a polio survivor with loss of use of her legs and their father abandoned the family. Their mother goes to the streets begging to earn money for the family so the boys were brought to Aardhratha. They stay at the home during the school year and return to be with their mother during holidays and vacations. Eby is in the 6th grade and Bibi in the 3rd grade.
They are thriving at the home, going to school and receiving academic and athletic awards for running and jumping.
